A man in Michigan is facing a sentence of 2-5 years in prison for trying to drive through a police officer while in a Burger King drive-thru. The incident happened in February of 2013.
Officers were called to the Burger King when the allegedly drunk male driver was causing a scene while in the drive-thru. The officers who showed up to the scene directed the man to pull over his car and park. The driver initially appeared to be following the officer’s directions, only to rush forward, knocking down one of the officers, and turning on to a public road.
The driver was found to have multiple previous DUI convictions as well as a BAC (blood alcohol content) of 0.25. The legal BAC limit for drivers is 0.08
